This bus ride is one of the world’s longest, highest, and most challenging bus routes. Taking off from the warm plains of Delhi, this bus journey will take you through Chandigarh, Kullu, Manali, and Keylong before reaching the freezing heights of Leh.
However, it is not just the daunting temperature variation but the arduous journey that will test the mettle of the driver and passengers. The bus will pass through some of the highest mountain passes in the world, including Taglang-la (17,480 ft), Lachulung-la (16,600 ft), Baralacha-la (16,050 ft), and Rohtang-la (13,050 ft). There is an overnight halt at Keylong with a bus change to ensure safety.
The bus starts from Delhi at 3:45 PM, reaching Keylong the next day at 10:30 PM. The next day, the trip begins at 5:00 AM from Keylong and arrives at Leh at 7:00 PM.
