Blog 3 Flashback 1: My journey from Chandigarh to Jhansi – If I tell the truth then I do not remember the date of 14 years ago but I remember the month well. It is about August 2003 when I was going to Jhansi from Chandigarh for admission in B-Tech in Computer Science (Engineering). Then I was 19 years old and did not take life very seriously. At that time it was not so much what to do next. The computer I was interested and wanted to stay out of the house. By which I can take the lead in my own life.

Blog 3 Flashback 1: My journey from Chandigarh to Jhansi – सच बताऊँ तो 14 साल पहले की तारीख तो मुझे यह नहीं मगर महीना अच्छे से याद है। येह अगस्त 2003 की बात है जब मैं इंजीनियरिंग मैं एडमिशन के लिए चंडीगढ़ से झांसी जा रहा था। तब मैं 19 years का था और ज़िन्दगी को इतना सीरियसली नहीं लेता था। उस समय इतना नहीं था की आगे क्या करना चाहता हूँ। कंप्यूटर मैं इंटरेस्ट था और घर से बाहर रहना चाहता था। जिससे अपनी ज़िन्दगी के डिसिशन खुद ले सकूँ।
The desire to stay away from home was so much that even after listening to the name of Jhansi (this city is 700 kilometres away from Chandigarh) without any thought, I said yes. After few days, I and dad went out of Chandigarh to Jhansi for my engineering college admission.
घर से दूर रहने की चाहत इतनी ज्यादा थी कि झाँसी (यह शहर चंडीगढ़ से 700 किल्लोमीटर की दुरी पर है) का नाम सुनते ही बिना कुछ सोचे घर हाँ कर दी। कुछ दिनों मैं, मैं और मेरे पापा मेरी इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज मैं एडमिशन करवाने के लिए चंडीगढ़ से झाँसी के लिए निकल पड़े।
At that time there was no train from Chandigarh for Jhansi, then we went to Ambala for Dadar-Amritsar Express train that was at 4 in the evening, next day we reached Jhansi at 6 a.m.
उस समय झाँसी के लिए चंडीगढ़ से कोई भी ट्रैन नहीं थी, तो हम लोग अम्बाला गए जहा से शाम 4 बजे दादर-अमृतसर एक्सप्रेस ट्रैन थी जिसने हमें अगले दिन सुबह 6 बजे झाँसी पहुंचा दिया।
It’s not that I was just excited, I was a little scared too. I was going to be alone for the first time. Much was going to change. A new language, new people. All the friends had left behind, so new friends too. Maybe from here, I started changing. This was the first day and because of that fear, I felt I needed to change myself. I have to hide my weakness from others, perhaps only if I can survive alone.
ऐसा नहीं है कि मैं सिर्फ उत्साहित ही था, मैं थोड़ा डरा भी हुआ था। मैं पहली बार अकेला रहने जा रहा था। बहुत कुछ बदलने वाला था। नई भाषा, नए लोग। सभी दोस्तों को पीछे छोड़ चुका था तो नए दोस्त भी। शायद यहीं से मैंने बदलना शुरू कर दिया था। यह पहला दिन था जब उस डर की वजह से मुझे लगा मुझे अपने आपको बदलने की ज़रुरत पड़ेगी। अपनी कमज़ोरी को दूसरों से छुपाना पड़ेगा शायद तभी वह अकेले सर्वाइव कर सकूंगा।
In this journey, I made a decision that I would hide my good or bad expressions. I was very stubborn since my childhood so it was my heart. And I got the first change in my life.
इस सफर में मैंने एक फैसला किया मैं अपने अच्छे या बुरे सभी एक्सप्रेशंस को छुपा कर रखूँगा। मैं बचपन से बहुत ज़िद्दी था तो यह मेरी ज़िद थी। और मुझे मेरी ज़िन्दगी का पहला बदलाव मिला।
