Hindi is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, but how many of us know everything about the Hindi language? So, on 14th September which is celebrated as Hindi Day, we decided to share some interesting facts about the Hindi Language.
हिन्दी दुनिया में सबसे अधिक व्यापक रूप से बोली जाने वाली भाषाओं में से एक है, लेकिन हम में से कितने हिंदी भाषा के बारे में सब कुछ जानते हैं? तो, 14 सितंबर को जो हिंदी दिवसों के रूप में मनाया जाता है, हमने हिंदी भाषा के बारे में कुछ रोचक तथ्य साझा करने का निर्णय लिया।
Here are some interesting facts about the Hindi language. यहां हिंदी भाषा के बारे में कुछ रोचक तथ्य हैं।
1. Has its roots in Sanskrit language, going back to nearly 5,000 BC. हिंदी भाषा की अपनी जड़ें संस्कृत भाषा में हैं, लगभग 5,000 ईसा पूर्व की हैं।
2. Hindi got its name from the Persian word Hind, meaning “Land of the Indus River”, today of which mostly flows through Pakistan. Also, passes through Tibet and Northern India. It is also known as the great trans-Himalayan river of South Asia. हिंदी का नाम फारसी शब्द हिंद से है, जिसका अर्थ है “सिंधु नदी की भूमि”, जो आज के ज्यादातर पाकिस्तान के माध्यम से बहती है इसके अलावा, तिब्बत और उत्तरी भारत के माध्यम से गुजरता है यह दक्षिण एशिया की महान ट्रांस-हिमालयन नदी के रूप में भी जाना जाता है।
3. Hindi in its present form emerged through different stages, during which it was known by other names. The earliest form of old Hindi was Apabhramsa. In 400 AD, Kalidas, a famous Indian literary playwright, wrote a romantic play in Apabhramsa called Vikramorvashiyam. अपने मौजूदा रूप में हिंदी विभिन्न चरणों के माध्यम से उभरा, जिसके दौरान इसे अन्य नामों से जाना जाता था। पुरानी हिंदी का सबसे पहला रूप अप्राश्र्सा था 400 ईस्वी में, एक प्रसिद्ध भारतीय साहित्यिक नाटककार कालिदास ने अप्राश्रम में एक रोमांटिक नाटक को विक्रमूर्वाशियम नाम दिया।
4. The Constituent Assembly adopted Hindi as the Official Language of the Union on 14 September 1949. Hence it is celebrated as Hindi Day. 14 सितंबर 1949 को संविधान सभा ने राजभाषा के रूप में हिंदी को अपनाया। इसलिए इसे हिंदी दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
5. In the year 1881 Bihar accepted Hindi as its sole official language replacing Urdu and thus became the first state of India to adopt Hindi. वर्ष 1881 में बिहार ने हिंदी को अपनी एकमात्र आधिकारिक भाषा के रूप में उर्दू को बदलने की स्वीकृति दी और इस प्रकार हिंदी को अपनाने के लिए भारत का पहला राज्य बन गया।
6. It became the official language of India in 1965. यह 1965 में भारत की आधिकारिक भाषा बन गई।
7. Hindi is also spoken in some countries outside India, such as in Mauritius, Fiji, Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Pakistan, Nepal etc. हिंदी में भारत के बाहर कुछ देशों में भी बात की जाती है, जैसे कि मॉरीशस, फिजी, सूरीनाम, गयाना, त्रिनिडाड और टोबैगो, पाकिस्तान, नेपाल आदि।
8. The Hindi Language is spoken by almost 500 million people, making it one of the most spoken languages worldwide. Others include Mandarin, English, and Spanish. हिंदी भाषा लगभग 500 मिलियन लोगों द्वारा बोली जाती है, इसे दुनिया भर में सबसे अधिक बोली जाने वाली भाषाओं में से एक बनाता है। इसमें मंदारिन, अंग्रेजी और स्पेनिश शामिल है।
9. Just like European languages, Hindi is written from left to right. यूरोपीय भाषाओं की तरह, हिंदी बाएं से दाएं लिखा है
10. Hindi language includes 11 vowels and 33 consonants. हिंदी भाषा में 11 स्वर और 33 व्यंजन शामिल हैं।
11. Hindi language doesn’t have any articles (like we have ‘the’ and ‘a’ in English). हिंदी भाषा में कोई भी लेख नहीं है (जैसे ‘a’ और ‘the’ अंग्रेजी में है)।
12. Unlike in English, in Hindi, all nouns have genders, either masculine or feminine. Adjectives and verbs change according to gender. Learning the grammar aspect of Hindi Language is usually one of the most difficult steps in learning Hindi. हिंदी में, सभी संज्ञाओं में लिंग हैं, लिंग के अनुसार विशेषण और क्रियाएं बदलती हैं हिंदी भाषा के व्याकरण के पहलू को सीखना आम तौर पर हिंदी सीखने में सबसे कठिन कदमों में से एक है।
13. One of the easiest languages to learn or read, as pronunciation is exactly as written, with each letter of the alphabet having an independent sound. सीखने या पढ़ने के लिए सबसे आसान भाषाओं में से एक, उच्चारण के रूप में बिल्कुल लिखा गया है, एक स्वतंत्र ध्वनि वाले वर्णमाला के प्रत्येक अक्षर के साथ।
14. Prem Sagar (meaning Ocean of Love) by Lallu Lal, published in 1805, is considered to be the first book to be published in Khari Boli, the dialect of Hindi which is the basis for the standard Hindi used today. The books tell about the deeds of Lord Krishna. 1805 में प्रकाशित प्रेम सागर, जिसे खारी बोली में प्रकाशित की जाने वाली पहली पुस्तक माना जाता है, जो आज हिंदी की मानक हिंदी का आधार है। किताबें भगवान कृष्ण के कर्मों के बारे में बताती है।
15. Hindi is one of the seven languages of India that can be used to make web addresses (URLs). हिंदी भारत की सात भाषाओं में से एक है जिसे वेब पतों (URLs) बनाने के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है।
16. Words like ‘Guru’, ‘Jungle’, ‘Karma’, ‘Yoga’, ‘Bungalow’, ‘Cheetah’, ‘Loot’, ‘Thug’, ‘Avtar’ and much more have been borrowed from Hindi. ‘गुरु’, ‘जंगल’, ‘कर्म’, ‘योग’, ‘बंगला’, ‘चीता’, ‘लूट’, ‘ठग’, ‘अवतार’ शब्द हिंदी में से लिये गए हैं।
17. Hindi typewriters came to markets in 1930. 1930 में हिंदी टाइपराइटर बाजार में आए।
18. Hindi script is phonetic. Meaning unlike English, It’s pronounced the way it’s written. अंग्रेजी के विपरीत हिंदी स्क्रिप्ट फाँटेटिक है, इसे जिस तरह से लिखा गया है उसे स्पष्ट किया जाता है।
