INOX Omaxe Connaught Place Review: My Experience With Ticket Booking, Food Vouchers, Seat Availability & 3D Glasses

I visited INOX Omaxe Connaught Place on 22 August 2026 to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day in 3D. This INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review is based entirely on my personal experience at the cinema, particularly the ticket-booking process, the food voucher that appeared to be added without my consent, the seat-availability issue, and the condition of the 3D glasses. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward movie outing turned into a disappointing customer-service experience.

I am sharing this INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review because these issues aren’t simply about whether I liked the movie or the cinema ambience. They concern transparency during ticket booking and the basic experience a customer should reasonably expect after purchasing a cinema ticket.

INOX Omaxe Connaught Place Review: What Happened During Ticket Booking?

The first issue I encountered was during the ticket-booking process.

While booking my ticket, I noticed that the total amount appeared higher than I expected. I therefore asked the staff whether a food voucher had been added to my booking.

The staff confirmed that it had.

This was the first thing that bothered me about my experience at INOX Omaxe Connaught Place.

A food voucher is an optional product. In my opinion, the customer should be explicitly asked whether they want to purchase it.

The process should be something like:

โ€œWould you like to add a food voucher to your booking?โ€

The customer can then say yes or no.

Instead, in my experience, the voucher had already been included, and I had to notice the additional amount and specifically question it.

That makes a significant difference.

Someone who doesn’t carefully check the final amount before paying could easily pay for an additional voucher without realizing it.

Why I Think the Food Voucher Should Be Opt-In

This is one of the biggest concerns in my INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review.

There is nothing wrong with offering food vouchers. Cinemas can absolutely offer food packages, combos and vouchers to customers.

The problem is how the option is presented.

If a product is optional, customers should actively choose it.

An optional food voucher shouldn’t effectively become a default purchase that customers have to discover and remove.

What made the situation even more concerning was my conversation with the manager.

During my discussion with the manager, I understood that the staff had been instructed by the manager to add the food voucher.

I’m describing this specifically as what I understood from my conversation with the manager, rather than making assumptions about the cinema’s overall policy.

However, if staff members are being instructed to add an optional voucher to customers’ bookings by default, I believe that practice deserves serious reconsideration.

For me, this was the first major negative point in my INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review.

Seat Availability Display Was Not Working

The second issue was related to seat availability.

When booking my ticket, I wanted to know which seats were actually available so that I could choose the seat I preferred.

I asked the staff to show me the available seats.

I was told that the seat availability display/system was not working.

That immediately created a problem because, without seeing the actual seat availability, how is a customer supposed to make an informed choice?

I was also told that seats in the lower/downside section were not available.

Based on that information, I had to consider purchasing seats in a higher section.

However, when I entered the auditorium, I could see that many of the lower seats were empty.

This was extremely confusing.

Were the Empty Seats Actually Available?

This is an important distinction in my INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review.

I cannot say that every empty seat I saw was necessarily available for sale.

There could be legitimate reasons why particular seats are blocked, reserved, held back, or unavailable for booking.

But the problem was the lack of transparency.

If those seats were not available for purchase for a specific reason, the customer should be clearly informed.

If the seat display isn’t working, customers should also be given a clear explanation rather than being left to make a purchasing decision without knowing the actual seating situation.

From a customer’s perspective, being told that lower seats aren’t available and then walking into the auditorium and seeing numerous empty seats naturally raises questions.

This was another frustrating part of my INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review.

3D Glasses Had Visible Marks

The third issue occurred after entering the auditorium.

Since I was watching Spider-Man: Brand New Day in 3D, I received 3D glasses.

However, the glasses I received had visible prints/marks on them.

I therefore asked if I could get something to wipe them.

I was told that they didn’t have a cleaning cloth available.

This might sound like a small issue, but it is something that can significantly affect the 3D viewing experience.

If you’re watching a 3D movie, the glasses are an essential part of the experience. Customers should reasonably expect them to be clean and ready to use.

โ€œSanitizedโ€ Claim on the 3D Glasses Packaging

What made this more disappointing was the information printed on the paper/wrapper associated with the glasses.

The packaging advertised that the glasses were sanitized.

To be clear, I cannot personally verify the cinema’s sanitization process, so I’m not claiming that the glasses were never sanitized.

My concern is about the customer-facing experience.

If the glasses are advertised as sanitized, but the customer receives glasses with visible marks and then asks for something to clean them but is told that no cleaning cloth is available, the experience doesn’t inspire much confidence.

This is another reason the 3D-glasses issue deserves a place in my INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review.

The basic expectation is simple: give customers clean-looking glasses that are ready to use.

My Overall INOX Omaxe Connaught Place Experience

When I put all of these issues together, my INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review is unfortunately not a positive one.

None of these individual issues necessarily needs to ruin an entire movie outing.

But when multiple problems occur during the same visit, they start affecting the overall perception of the cinema.

First, I had to question why a food voucher had been added without my explicit request.

Then I couldn’t properly see the available seats because I was told the seat display wasn’t working.

I was told that lower seats were unavailable, yet I later saw many empty seats in that area.

Finally, I received 3D glasses with visible marks and couldn’t get a cleaning cloth when I raised the issue.

For a customer who has paid for a movie ticket, these are reasonable things to expect:

  • Transparent pricing
  • Optional products being genuinely optional
  • Accurate information about seat availability
  • Clean 3D glasses
  • Basic assistance when a customer raises a concern

These aren’t luxury demands.

What I Expect From INOX Omaxe Connaught Place

My intention with this INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review isn’t simply to criticize the cinema.

I believe these issues can be addressed relatively easily.

1. Make Food Vouchers Optional

If a customer hasn’t selected a food voucher, don’t add it automatically.

Instead, clearly offer the option and let the customer decide.

2. Fix the Seat Availability System

Customers should be able to see which seats are available before making their purchase.

If a seat is unavailable, the system should accurately reflect that.

If seats are blocked for operational reasons, that information should be communicated clearly.

3. Ensure 3D Glasses Are Clean

3D glasses should be checked and cleaned before being handed to customers.

And if a customer says that their glasses have marks, staff should have a simple way to address the problem.

4. Ensure Customer-Facing Claims Match the Experience

If the packaging says the glasses are sanitized, customers should receive glasses that are visibly clean and ready to use.

The goal should be consistency between what is advertised and what the customer actually experiences.

Did INOX Respond to My Complaint?

Another reason I’m publishing this INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review is that I have not received a response to these concerns so far.

I raised the issues during my visit and spoke with the staff and manager about them.

As of 26 August 2026, four days after my visit on 22 August, I have not received a response from INOX regarding these concerns.

I believe companies should have an opportunity to respond to customer complaints, which is why I’m also leaving the door open for INOX to provide its side of the story.

If I receive a response or clarification from the management, I will update this INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review accordingly.

Final Verdict: INOX Omaxe Connaught Place Review

My INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review comes down to one simple point: the movie experience should not be complicated by avoidable issues in the booking and customer-service process.

I went to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day in 3D expecting a simple and enjoyable cinema experience.

Instead, I encountered concerns regarding an apparently pre-added food voucher, a non-functioning seat-availability display, information about lower seats that didn’t match what I later observed inside the auditorium, and 3D glasses with visible marks.

The biggest concern for me is transparency.

Customers should know exactly what they’re paying for, which seats they can choose from, and what services they’re receiving.

An optional food voucher should be optional.

Seat availability should be accurately communicated.

And 3D glasses should be clean and ready for use.

This INOX Omaxe Connaught Place review reflects my personal experience on 22 August 2026. I hope the management looks into these issues and improves the experience for future customers.
